Local community businesses host several community events to help HPI raise funds. These events are open to the public to attend. More information will be here as it becomes available.

Complete an HPI volunteer application and send it to us.
Review and sign the job description provided either by Volunteers of America or by HPI.
A volunteer lead will get in touch and set up a schedule that works for both of you.

Always ask your employer about matching funds; this is a partial list, ask your employer if they match funds you donate.
Consult your attorney about including HPI in your will as part of your planned giving gift. HPI will receive your gift upon execution of your will and you can designate how you would like us to use the funds. Your legacy will benefit residents of Fort Collins for years to come. Remembering HPI will make you eligible to become a member of the McClean Society; you'll receive recognition online and in printed materials, and special invitations to donor recognition events.
The Homelessness Prevention Initiative is a member of the Fort Collins Enterprise Zone and is able to offer a State Tax Credit to donors whose gifts total $100 or more in a calendar year.
The credit is equal to 25% of all donations over $100 made directly to HPI, and it can be all at once or cumulatively.
For example, for a donation of $100 the donor may subtract $25 from their total state tax liability.
HPI must have the last four of your social security number on file in order to receive the necessary paperwork. Please call us at 970-221-1553 and give your full name and last four of your social.
HPI volunteers work at any of our five intake centers throughout Fort Collins. They meet with potential clients, listen to their stories and offer resources.
