Molly's Story
Molly is 8 years old and has three siblings, one of whom is disabled. Molly’s dad is also disabled from a medical condition but works as much as he can. Caring for the family has made it difficult for her mother to work outside the home. Molly’s family came to HPI in March after heating costs from our severe winter left them unable to pay their full rent.
HPI helped Molly’s family to pay their rent and keep their home. Molly’s dad and older brother have taken on new jobs to support the family. Through HPI referrals, the family has accessed other services that will free up Molly’s mother to work part-time, and will help them make ends meet in the meantime.
